The Sony Book Store is not available in Ireland right now but you can get books from Easons or even some local libraries.

Have you tried the built in instruction booklet on the TV for instruction - iManual button on the remote

That model does not have the BRAVIA Internet platform and does not have a dongle. To get those features you could buy an SNP-N200 and connect that through HDMI.

Thanks for the update. Seems to be a common issue with Netflix on Smart TV platforms as I haven't seen it working with any other TV manufacturer yet. I'll make do with the PS3 and Tablet version until things are worked out. I appreciate you are working on it and that it's in both Netflix and Sony's interest to get it on as many devices as possible.

Try going to Settings on the TV, select network and then "Refresh Internet Content"

Widgets available in Ireland

Unfortunately, Lovefilm don't provide a service in Ireland so the widget is not there. It's only on the UK platform. Hopefully, now that Netflix are here they will start providing movies in Ireland too.

Looked into Sony and other brands of Smart TVs recently. None of them have RTE player, Lovefilm (UK service only) or Netflix (Samsung have the icon on their top two models but it doesn't work according to owners on boards.ie). At least from what catmambo has said they are working towards getting RTE and Netflix and other services on there as soon as they can. I'm using the Sony tablet to get my Netflix fix for now....

Really like the TV3 app - seems to be a Sony exclusive as it was on none of the other Smart TVs?
