Do I need a new charger for my VAIO?

My laptop and charger is not even two years old. I have a VAIO VPCEB2E9E laptop and for some reason, my charger has to be at a certain position/angle when plugged into my laptop for it to charge. As well as this, my battery life is very poor. Do I need a new charger, battery or both? And if so-where and what kind is best?

    Hi Tori575 and welcome.


    I wonder if it may be a poor contact inside the power socket where you plug the charger into the Vaio? 

     

    Does wiggling the plug have any effect?

     

    You may need to have an engineer check the socket.
