Sony expands its Beyond Definition vision at ISE 2015

Amsterdam (Stand 1-H120), November 28, 2014: At ISE 2015 in Amsterdam, Sony will unveil how it is expanding ​ upon its “Beyond Definition” theme. Sony will showcase how its ground-breaking ​ laser and 4K technologies are empowering users to connect with audiences on a ​ sensory level, generating memorable experiences that inspire people to do more. ​ Visitors will discover a range of Sony’s AV, communications, and professional ​ display offerings, including the world's first 4K Ultra Short Throw laser ​ projector, the 7,000 lumens 3LCD Laser projector and the latest upgrades to the ​ breakthrough presentation solution, Vision Presenter.

The complete experience at this year’s stand includes a tour of the immersive ​ zone, where visitors will get an up close look at some of Sony’s 4K solutions ​ including the new VPL-GTZ1 Ultra Short Throw laser light source projector.

Market leading laser technology and 4K solutions

Sony ​ will highlight its latest innovative products at this year’s exhibit, ​ demonstrating its commitment to push boundaries in both laser projection and 4K:

  • Vision Presenter: Sony’s intuitive presentation solution ​ brings together ​ all of your content - ​ including videos, images and PowerPoint® slides - to one screen creating big, ​ bold, dynamic presentations controlled with the swipe of a finger. The latest Vision Presenter upgrade builds upon this versatility, ​ enhancing its functionality and making it even more user friendly. Some of the ​ newest features include:

    -Previewing and mirroring content
    -HDCP supported connections: including Blu-Ray, PS4, Miracast, ​ Chromecast, and Apple TV
    -Airplay-Direct IP H.264 video ​ and ​ IP control connection with the newest Sony PTZ camera solution, the SRG-300SE ​  -Multiple display variations for more flexible solutions: single ​ screen, 4K screen, dual screen, edge blend and triple screen plus a secondary ​ monitor output for recording/streaming of Vision Presenter content
    -Expanded file support and content interaction, e.g., zoom, area ​ setting, annotation and comparison viewing manipulation

 

The Vision Presenter configuration demonstrated at ISE will show a ​ triple screen projection solution with WUXGA and WXGA ​ projectors and video content coming from ​ multiple source inputs , we shall also show how we can share the visual ​ experience with remote locations.

  • Maintenance-free 3LCD laser ​ projectors: Designed to make ​ an impact in boardrooms and classrooms, the new VPL-FH700L and VPL-FHZ55 3LCD laser ​ projectors deliver up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection. The new ​ FHZ700L is the world’s brightest laser projector* with 7,000 lumens of colour ​ brightness, and is ideal for use in large venue commercial spaces within education, ​ corporate, and museum environments. ​ ​ ​ ​ Both models deliver WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200), instant on/off, ​ tilt-angle-free design, edge blending, wide range vertical/horizontal lens ​ shift, and substantial TCO savings. The VPL-FHZ700L also offers integration ​ flexibility with multiple interfaces and seven optional lenses.
  • 4K Ultra-Short ​ Throw Laser Light Source Projector: Sony’s VPL-GTZ1 is the world’s first 4K ​ Ultra Short Throw laser light source projector. The state of the art technology ​ delivers completely new immersive experience with superb picture quality and is ​ ideal for areas where high impact visuals are required, such as executive board ​ room, art galleries, museums and simulation applications used for product and ​ shop design, as well as command & control. Its stylish, “blend-in” design ​ fits nearly any installation environment, including a low fan noise to ensure ​ users’ experiences are not disrupted. The new model’s flexible installation and ​ operation allows it to be floor-standing, ceiling-mounted for front or rear ​ projection.
  • BRAVIA 4K LED Professional Displays: Sony‘s innovative 4K leadership will also be ​ demonstrated through its new range of professional monitors. Available in 55”, ​ 65” and 85” screen sizes, the BRAVIA 4K ​ LED Professional displays all ​ include HTML5 signage capability and advanced control features. Ideal for ​ corporate environments, meeting rooms and retail applications, these displays ​ deliver high quality signage and presentations that are at the core of Sony’s ​ emphasis on enabling customers to do more.
  • BRAVIA U-Touch: ​ BRAVIA U-Touch brings together Sony’s Professional displays with ​ touch-screen technology so the display becomes an interactive hub, much like ​ the latest smartphones and tablets consumers are familiar with. It creates an ​ enhanced user experience that can attract audiences and allow them to interact ​ directly with content. Sony will demonstrate how BRAVIA U-Touch allows ​ retailers, universities, museums, businesses, libraries, financial institutions ​ and more to engage on a more intimate level.
  • Beyond ​ 4k: Sony is showcasing its unique ​ technology to create the highest quality images with “beyond definition”. Using ​ Sony’s top-end motion picture camera: the Sony ​ F65 -featuring a 8K CMOS sensor and the unique Super ​ Resolution Demosaicing Technology (SRDM)- it is possible to create immersive images for venues, arenas or ​ amusement parks by cutting out free resolutions and aspect ratios.
  • Live Event ​ Production: Sony will show the latest innovations in ​ automated production for simple and intuitive operations. There’s no need for ​ complex setup and operations with the AWS-750 Anycast Touch, an all-in-one ​ integrated video and audio mixer. Attached to remote cameras from the SRG/BRC ​ range, it can also automatically track the presenter or any moving object, and ​ can be complemented by the efficient XDCAM cameras to pre-record and playback contents or live ​ inputs. When combined these can deliver a live broadcast feed as well as live ​ streaming in a simple and fully integrated package.
  • Integrated AV portfolio: Sony will also display several products from its ​ integrated AV portfolio range at ISE, in particular the PCS-XC1 ​ Video Conferencing System.Sony’s newly debuted video ​ conferencing solution provides borderless, portable connectivity, allowing ​ users to communicate beyond traditional boundaries. The all HD portable video ​ conferencing device offers superb picture and sound quality and includes wireless ​ capability, Exmor CMOS sensor, View-DR technology and is capable of resolutions ​ up to 1080p 60fps. As a compact integrated unit, the portable PCS-XC1 is ideal ​ for huddle rooms, conference rooms and office spaces of all sizes, making ​ meetings to held anywhere in the world a reality.
