Munich – 7th September 2018: Under the banner of "Emotion in Every Frame", Sony will showcase VENICE, the full frame motion picture camera, which has been embraced by the production community since its launch a year ago. At Cinec 2017 Sony will also present innovations around this flagship model from the CineAlta family.
Sony has always been a driver of innovations, and not only of its products. The world’s premier of Sony’s new CineAlta stand design will happen at Cinec 2018, presenting VENICE in an authentic shooting set up. Installed in a Citroën CX GTI Turbo, visitors can experience the flexibility of the camera directly on site.
"With this brand new way of presenting Sony and the CineAlta family, we live up to our innovative products and solutions," comments Sebastian Leske, Product Marketing Manager, Cinematography, Sony Professional Solutions Europe. “We work closely with cinematographers and film professionals to make their visions real. This is also reflected in our fresh stand design at this year's Cinec. The look is a proof of Sony always thinking about its customers’ needs in various filmmaking environments". The CineAlta team will be available for questions and interviews from 22 to 24 September at the new CineAlta booth (Hall 3, booth D04).
At Cinec, Sony will present the latest updates of the VENICE Sensor Extension Kit for the first time in Germany. They were shown at the Cinegear Expo in L.A. back in June 2018, and will be used for the upcoming Avatar movie. The extension system allows shooting scenes that were never possible before, whilst guarantees VENICE image quality and functionality with maximum mobility and flexibility. With its new full-frame sensor, VENICE offers filmmakers and production professionals the opportunity to live their creativity. Among the powerful innovations of the camera's firmware V2.0 are the dual-base ISO mode with ISO2500, variable frame rates, additional imager modes, E-Mount support, LAN remote control and support for 3D LUTs.
In addition to VENICE and the latest updates for BVM monitors, Sony will showcase the the PXW-FS7 II and the BVM-E171 with HDR function. Furthermore, a preliminary version of the upcoming firmware version 3.0 for VENICE will be shown at Cinec.
