TORTILLA Group chooses Sony for its digital signage system

The TORTILLA fast-food group, which recently arrived in France, has chosen SONY FW-43BZ30L professional screens for its sites in France and the UK, with the support of Smart Prospective

Paris, France, 31st January 2025: Tortilla, Europe's leading fast-food Mexican restaurant, wanted to enhance the appeal and modernity of its brand image while centralising the management of its screens from its head offices in the UK and France. The screens had to be integrated seamlessly into its Mexican restaurant concept. The group, supported by Smart Prospective, specialists in digital signage solutions, chose Sony FW-43BZ30L Professional Displays.

An ambitious digital transformation

Tortilla is radically modernising its point of sale. This involves the deployment of 300 Sony FW-43BZ30L Professional displays as digital menu boards. These displays, accompanied by Smart Prospective content distribution software, enable real-time updates of the content displayed and centralised management. This saves unprecedented amounts of time: content can be checked in real time with just a few clicks.

More technically, Sony’s professional displays feature deep black anti-reflective technology. Behind the scenes, this offers incomparable display quality and legibility, while blending in perfectly with the Tortilla universe.

"Thanks to the exceptional image quality of our new screens, we can grab our customers' attention immediately on arrival. The ability to customise our menus in real time for promotions or special offers gives us unrivalled flexibility. Finally, centralising and simplifying the management of our visual communications has enabled us to significantly reduce our operational costs and the time spent on these tasks." Explains Megan, Tortilla Marketing Manager

Technological and environmental excellence

Designed for business, with easy customisation and content sharing, the FW-43BZ30L professional displays make all visual communications more impactful in retail or corporate environments. Superb 4K HDR image quality is complemented by flexible customisation options. The model's enhanced reliability offers 24/7 operability for demanding commercial environments. Its sleek, minimalist design brings impeccable style to any business environment and offers simplified multi-screen set-up for large displays.
With BRAVIA, sustainable development is always present. Eco-responsible, the FW-43BZ30L has obtained the EPEAT* Bronze label in 23 countries.

"The integration of Sony displays with Smart Prospective's expertise has enabled the TORTILLA Group to modernise its catering concept and on-site signage, improve the customer experience and enhance its operational efficiency. This collaboration illustrates the importance of technological innovation in meeting consumer expectations while optimising internal processes. At Sony, we are proud to be able to contribute to companies' technological developments and to have been able to support TORTILLA in its transition," says Joule Akoum, Retail Business Development Manager, Sony Europe.

Tortilla was founded by Brandon and Jen Stephens in 2007. After a period of impressive growth, Tortilla launched its first digital offering in 2010 with online ordering. In the decade since, Tortilla has grown to become the largest Mexican fast food group in the UK.

With over 80 Tortilla restaurants in the UK and 10 sites in the Middle East, Tortilla continues to expand across Europe with the acquisition in June 2024 of Fresh Burritos, its largest European competitor. This acquisition added 13 company-owned shops in major French cities and 19 franchised sites.

Today, the brand continues to expand, with over 100 sites and 1,100 employees.
